Support Driven Expo 2024 Las Vegas - Call for Proposals

Support Driven Expo will be held at UNLV in Las Vegas, NV on May 14-15, 2024.

SD Expo brings the Support Driven community together to share how Customer Support really works so we can learn from each other and move the industry forward.

We’re looking for presentations for all experience levels from Beginner (0-3 years of experience) to Advanced (5+ years of experience) that fit into these tracks:

  • AI

  • Career Development

  • Community Marketing

  • Consulting

  • Customer Experience

  • Knowledge Management

  • Management

  • Support Operations

Key Dates

Round 1 Review

  • February 1 - Call for Proposals Opens - Round 1

  • February 15 - Applications close at midnight PST

  • February 22 - We will notify you about the status of your proposal

Round 2 Review

  • February 22 - Call for Proposals Opens - Round 2

  • March 22 - Applications close at midnight PST - EXTENDED!

  • March 15 - We will notify you about the status of your proposal if you submitted your proposal before March 7th.

  • March 31 - We will notify you about the status of your proposal if you submitted your proposal after March 7th.

Accepted Speaker Timeline

  • April 1 - Speakers & Talk Editors Begin Working Together

  • May 1 - Final Slides & Recordings Due

  • May 14-15 - Support Driven Expo 2024 at UNLV in Las Vegas, NV

Call for Proposals (CFP): Talks

We’re looking for 20-minute talks.

Not sure what topics would fit into which track? Here are a few suggestions to jump-start your pitch ideas:

  • AI

    • Quality initiatives powered by AI, how chatbots are evolving, leveraging ChatGPT as a manager, what’s the real ROI of implementing AI, and more.

  • Career Development

    • mentoring, learning new skills, resume building, finding your career path and more.

  • Community Marketing

    • what makes a successful online event, how to find success on a platform like product hunt, best practices for community interactions, when and how to get started with online ads, and more.

  • Consulting

    • which certifications are worth it, getting started as a consultant, growing your client list, networking best practices, client collaboration strategies, challenges and opportunities of a consulting career, and more.

  • Customer Experience

    • designing customer workflows, support channels, CSAT surveys, proactive vs reactive support strategies, data discovery in the support queue and more.

  • Knowledge Management

    • best practices for product visuals and walkthroughs, methodologies for organizing information, sources of truth, elevating diverse voices, and more.

  • Management

    • hiring non-traditional talent, how to lead in crisis situtations, secret to the best 1:1s, supporting individual contributors, team structure, managing managers and/or ICs, developing leadership skills, and more.

  • Support Operations

    • ROI for WFM, engineering escalation processes, feedback loops, building reports, international expansion, scaling for growth, and more.

Speakers receive

  • A complimentary ticket for you

  • A complimentary ticket to share so you'll have a friendly face in the crowd

  • Talk Development Program

    • You aren't on your own - speakers at Support Driven events get the opportunity to work with a Talk Editor to get feedback and support as you prepare your presentation if you opt into our Talk Development Program. If you participate, you’ll have direct support to work through your ideas, slide format, speaking approach, etc., leading up to the event to help you be successful.

You agree that if we accept your application

  • You will adhere to our Code of Conduct

  • You (or your employer) will cover your travel and accommodation

  • We may use your name and photo to promote the conference

  • We may record your talk and slides (audio, video, photography) for use in social media, marketing, sales, and distribution
