Job description:

The system support engineer is a subject matter expert in the VoIP/real-time communications space and interfaces with our customers in the resolution of issues, and major projects such as roll-out of new features or network migrations. In addition to technological aptitude in different areas of knowledge (networking, system administration, VoIP, cloud computing) the candidate should possess strong interpersonal, presentation, leadership and troubleshooting skills. We are looking for an individual with prior experience in a customer facing position and that loves working with people.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS in information technology related field.
  • 2+ years of customer facing experience in technical support.
  • Working knowledge of SIP, RTP, H.323, WebRTC.
  • Strong Linux administration skills in a command-line environment.
  • Solid networking foundation skills (IPv4, IPv6, UDP, TCP, TLS, NAT, VLAN).
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP a plus.
  • Excellent phone and email skills, positive customer-centric attitude.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Organized, self-starter with an ability to follow through on issues under minimal supervision
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies a plus.

Sansay is a growing company and you’ll likely get your hands dirty in a little bit of everything. What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities are:

  • Use protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark) to analyze VoIP and networking issues.
  • Assist customers in the resolution of system issues via e-mail and phone.
  • Diagnose log files and prepare thorough analysis of technical issues.
  • Build tools/scripts/integrations that accelerate and improve support.
  • Execute functional and regression test plans on new software releases.
  • Contribute to customer knowledge base writing articles or creating video content.
  • Host training classes for customers.

  • Work closely with our development team to resolve issues.
